lyrics

Times I've Been Wrong

Lullabies sank softly in the river as it surfaced me the bad news,
But I'm always dreaming, as the creek flows away.
Butterfly stalls high as the postman runs up through the old rude.
But I believe in magic because it makes me feel good.

How long will I beat on this dead horse while he's strung-out on he's knees. The fall came too early as the stars went to sleep.
Red faced lion tells now the mother to call his son back from lone.
He is out crossing rivers and he won't be coming home.

One of these days I'll surrender, surrender myself to the dark.
While you all sleep I'll just walk off to forget all the times I've been wrong.

How can you sleep when the stars right above us are crying loud to their Sun, they shiver out from sunlight to become you and I.
Modern society kills all the lovers telling them who to become.
But I still believe in magic through the times I've been wrong.

One of these days I'll surrender, surrender myself to the dark.
While you all sleep I'll just walk off to forget all the times I've been wrong.
And one day they'll come just to change you, and tell you who to become.
So tell them that I will be waiting, on that old porch out on the sun.
